Residential Manager- Substance Abuse

You will be responsible for the overall management of Century Health’s Residential Treatment Program for alcohol and other drugs located at Tree Line Center.

You will plan, organize, monitor, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations of the facility and treatment program as well as complete the employee work schedule to assure supervision is provided to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You will process all referrals, admissions, and discharges and work with treatment ream providers and residential staff to develop and implement individual client plans for each resident.

You will provide training and direction to staff, peer supports and volunteers of Tree Line Center, and evaluate the performance for these Tree Line Center staff.

You will monitor facility maintenance and coordinate report needs as well as ensure the ordering of all food and necessary program supplies for the efficient operation of Tree Line as well as monitor facility maintenance and coordinate regular maintenance repair needs.

To insure compliance with Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addition Services (OMHAS) licensure standards and fire/safety codes as well as apply expectations defined by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.

You will observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, internally, and when dealing with external agencies and/or individuals as well as be responsible for understanding clients rights policy and procedures.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree. Nursing licensure and/or background is preferred.

 

Previous  employment in a residential environment and supervisory experience is desirable. Strong knowledge base of substance use disorders, psychological disorders and related behaviors.

 

Ohio driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification; Certification in De-escalation Techniques.

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

In this role, you will provide peer support services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems. You will focus on working with clients (individual or groups) to enhance their recovery.

You will provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching and support; provide training in the use of personal and community resources; assist in developing formal and informal community support; assist the person served in increasing social support networks of relatives, friends and/or significant others; offer encouragement in times of crisis; advocate on behalf of persons with behavioral health problems to protect the client’s rights and to assist in reducing associated stigma; work in cooperation with other providers, family members or significant others involved in the client’s recovery plan.

Who are you?

You will be a past consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with a history of managing one's own illness. You will have awareness of the importance of recovery in living with a mental illness or addictions problem. You will have past experience working directly with people in a service oriented field, and have an active membership in a consumer advocacy or self-help group. A significant period of continuous recovery required.

Residential Monitor

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

In this role, you will be responsible for the care of the residents during designated work hours. You will work with clients who are admitted on emergency status, to reduce their level of distress, stabilize the crisis situation and assist in their return to a pre-crisis level of functioning. 

You will implement individual client plans that are established for each resident, and supervise the cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene skills of the residents as well as encourage the residents' participation in leisure time activity. You will supervise residents in taking their medications and maintain the necessary documentation. You will also observe the residents' behavior and level of functioning, and document this information within the residential record manual.

You will observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, internally, and when dealing with external agencies and/or individuals as well as be responsible for understanding clients’ rights policy and procedures.

Who are you?

You will have previous experience working with Severely Mentally III clients or Chemically Dependent clients as well as previous employment in a residential environment with a strong knowledge base of psychological disorders and related behaviors.

Case Manager

How you’ll make a difference in this role: 

You will be providing Case Management services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to the Severely Mentally Disabled population including those with co-occurring substance use disorders, and to those individuals determined to be at-risk of hospitalization.  Service is provided on an individual or group basis. 

You will monitor and coordinate delivery of necessary evaluation and assessments in order to identify individual needs as well as coordinate and participate in the development of an Individualized Service Plan. You will also provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention and stabilization, including development of crisis plans.

 You will provide support and training in the use of personal and community resources, and review/monitor services and activities then document in the clinical record as stipulated in the Quality Assurance Plan.  You will assist the person served in increasing social support networks or relatives, friends and/or volunteer organizations. You will also accompany persons served to activity/social sites and assist in the development of activities of daily living.

 You will facilitate linkage and referral to appropriate and available community resources and advocate on behalf of persons with a severe mental disability. You will need to attain the established standards of productivity and provide services consistent with principles of recovery. You will also assist the person served in increasing meaningful activity including but not limited to employment and volunteer activities.

Who are you?

You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or Psychology. LSW or LPC licensure is preferred.

Emergency Services Therapist

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

In this role, you will provide crisis intervention and pre-hospital screening service according to the ODMH, ODADAS, and ADAMHS board standards during designated direct-care hours to establish a documented disposition and initial plan of treatment. You will also maintain clinical documentation according to company policy and procedures and work in cooperation with other treatment programs to assure continuity of care.  

You will establish positive working relationships with hospitals, law enforcement, probate court, the emergency department at BVRHC, and all other entities that interface with providers of emergency mental health and substance abuse services. You will also provide education and guidance to clients and their families in relation to resoling a crisis situation.

You will communicate the role of emergency services to internal and external entities as well as participate in clinical supervision both in the Outpatient Department and the CSP Program and consult with other professionals, when necessary, to obtain feedback prior to establishing disposition. You will provide emergency services in a manner that maintains the client’s dignity and considers the least restrictive environment when developing a plan to resolve the crisis.

Who are you?

Must posses a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field as well as obtain a minimum licensure of LSW. Previous experience working in a community based mental health treatment setting is preferred.

Jail-Based Case Manager Therapist

How you’ll make a difference in this role: 

Under the direction of the Criminal Justice Program Director,  you will be providing mental health and substance use disorder services to inmates of the Hancock County Criminal Justice Center. Service is provided on an individual or group basis and is provided on-site at the Hancock County Justice Center with a focus on transitioning back to community-based services.

You will monitor, coordinate and assist in completing necessary evaluations and assessments in order to identify individual needs of persons served as well as facilitate groups with evidence-based practice. You will also work closely and cooperatively with staff of the Hancock County Justice Center.

You will provide coordination and assistance in planning for those clients leaving the legal system, and your primary focus will be to link the client with necessary services upon release and support and promote stabilization in the community. You will be providing Outreach and Intervention Services to individuals with an incarceration during the last twelve months.

You will conduct Pre-Screening and/or Crisis Intervention services at the Hancock County Justice Center at the request of the Criminal Justice Program Director or designee. You will also monitor services and activities, maintain clinical records, and collect and manage data.

Who are you?

You must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field as well as obtain a minimum licensure of LSW or LPC. Previous experience working in the criminal justice system and familiarity with the body and knowledge supported through the University of Cincinnati Criminal Justice Department is preferred.

Mental Health Therapist

How you’ll make a difference in this role: 

Under the direction of the Mental Health Program Director, you will be providing diagnostic assessment, counseling and psychotherapy services. These services are provided to individuals, families and groups, and should be based upon established best practices within the behavioral healthcare field.

You will complete Diagnostic Assessments to gather pertinent past history information and render a diagnosis relevant to mental status and presenting symptoms as well as develop an Individualized Service Plan, with the client, which reflects measurable goals and outcomes.

You will provide face-to-face counseling to those clients referred for services, and you will provide Crisis Intervention and Pre-hospital Screening Services as a back-up to the Emergency Services Program. You will also provide Mental Health Prevention, Education and Consultation Services that correlate to areas of specialty or expertise to include at least one group. You will need to provide a minimum of 20 hours of agency billable services per week to include group therapy as assigned.

You will maintain clinical documentation in a timely and thorough manner that meets standards as well as attending weekly clinical staff meetings to coordinate client care. You will also observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment and you will be responsible in understanding the clients rights policy and procedures.

Who are you?

You must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology as well as have a minimum licensure of LSW or LPC. LISW licensure is preferred.
