Century Health provides these services out of several different facilities, with over 100 employees, serves over 3,000 individuals and has revenue in excess of $5.5 million dollars. 


The agency is offering an exceptional opportunity for a strategic-thinking, result-oriented Chief Executive Officer to join the Century Health team as we fulfill the organization’s mission of: Improving lives by encouraging recovery, healing minds and restoring hope.


The CEO is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational responsibility of the agency’s staff and programs across multiple sites, including working with the Board of Directors to establish, measure, and improve strategic goals. Generally, the CEO will be responsible to:

  • Innovate in today’s evolving healthcare environment while achieving both clinical and operational excellence.

  • Actively engage the employees, board members, partners and funders in the process of building the organization’s capacity to improving its programs and achieve results.

  • Establish and implement best practices to ensure that the proper infrastructure, policies, processes and controls are in place for Century Health to run effectively and efficiently.

  • Develop and execute annual operational plans; meet or exceed appropriate performance metrics for all personnel and programs as well as for the organization as a whole.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and be involved in outreach and community engagement.

  • Display competency in financial management processes including budget development and high-level financial reporting.

The Chief Executive Position requires a flexible and accountable individual who is passionate about the role this agency plays in facilitating recovery and is motivated to meet the challenges presented by the major reforms in behavioral health care. They will be adept at donor relationship cultivation and retention and will possess strong communication skills as well as excellent relational skills. The CEO will possess strong analytical thinking skills and a dedicated work ethic. Their past experience should show leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Strong preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Have had CEO experience within community behavioral health organizations

  • Hold a graduate degree in a business, healthcare, or behavioral science field of study

  • Have experience in improving agency operational performance and community outcomes 

  • Hancock County residency is preferred

Compensation will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and includes a competitive benefit package.  Qualified applicants must pass the necessary criminal and financial background checks.
